Drawing influences from Leonard Cohen, Donovan, Ween,
Astrud Gilberto, Beck, Nick Drake, and Steve Malkmus, The
Bother fuses finely crafted melodies with well conceived lyrics
resulting in songs that will leave you happy, sad, and at
times tapping your toes. William Rahilly moved to the San
Francisco area from New York in 2001, where he focused on
writing and recording music.
After the release of 'The Night Bleeds
Gold', The Bother played a series of shows with bands
such as Decemberists, Earlimart, Irving, Film School, and
Minmae.
Since then, William has moved back to
New York to promote the album on the East coast and to begin
work on a new album. Be sure to check out The Bothers
website, and try to get a copy of Williams first two
home-made albums you wont regret it.

The Night Bleeds
Gold
Release Date: October 14, 2003
When Three Ring Records was originally
conceived, we knew that we wanted our very first release
to be by The Bother. We made a wise decision, and so will
you if you give this record a chance to seep into your psyche!
Recorded and mixed entirely in Will Rahilly's San Francisco
apartment bedroom, this album brings a new meaning to the
term "Homegrown".
